North Mississippi Allstars

The North Mississippi Allstars are one of the most respected modern roots bands to emerge from the American South, blending hill-country blues, Southern rock, and jam-band energy into a gritty, improvisational sound. Formed in 1996 in Hernando, Mississippi by brothers Luther Dickinson (guitar, vocals) and Cody Dickinson (drums, keys), the group draws deeply from the region’s blues traditions while pushing the music forward with rock intensity and free-flowing jams. Their debut album Shake Hands with Shorty earned a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Album, and the band has spent nearly three decades touring, collaborating with artists like Robert Randolph, Lucinda Williams, and John Hiatt while carrying forward the spirit of North Mississippi hill-country blues.
